Genesis 1:5 - "God called the light "day", and the darkness he called "night". And there was evening, and there was morning - the first day."
We look at this verse and what should be seen that most people don't see? It says, "...there was evening, and there was morning...". This verse says that the day starts in the evening (night) and ends in the morning (day). Now some will say that the day does start at night, but this verse specifically tells us that the day starts at the beginning of night and ends at the end of daytime. It does not return to night for 4-6 before the next day. So basically, each new day starts at sundown, like it is celebrated by Judaism.
I felt like writing about this subject because I feel that many people who call themselves fundamentalist Christians truly don't follow the Holy Bible literally. Not meaning to offend, but people need to realize that no one really takes the bible literally. I honestly don't think the bible was meant to be taken literally. I find it to be an inspirational book written by disciples and prophets of God, but it isn't the infallible written word of the Almighty.
My goal in this blog is to find truth in everything around us. I dream of better days:) I hope all is well with you guys out there. Tell me what you think. Please give me your opinions on the subject! :)
